Before moving to the Bay Area, Rev. Brent was a member of First Church of Religious Science in Albuquerque where he discovered the Science of Mind philosophy 16 years ago. He remembers his first Sunday, sitting there listening to the message and realizing the minister was saying “exactly what I believed and had been looking for most of my life….I had found my spiritual home and what a joyful and fulfilling journey it has been.”
Rev. Brent has been a Science of Mind Practitioner for 8 years and graduated from the San Diego campus of the Holmes Institute in 2005 with a Masters Degree in Consciousness Studies. He has served churches in San Francisco and Corte Madera and is currently working towards professional chaplaincy certification through Marin General Hospital and the San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Prior to ministry, Rev. Brent had a successful 25-year career in the computer industry in sales, marketing, and senior management positions. He also joyfully taught seventh grade English and social studies.
